DORA Commitment

TCMIS has signed the DORA declaration to demonstrate its commitment to improving the effectiveness of research assessment. TCMIS endorses the principles of the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA) and is committed to responsible research and researcher assessment. The journal does not rely on journal-based metrics as measures of article quality or researcher performance. Editorial and peer-review decisions are based on the intrinsic merit, rigor, originality, and relevance of each submission. As part of this commitment, the journal:

  • Prioritizes content-based assessment over journal-level metrics
  • Encourages transparency in peer review and citation practices [1]
  • Supports the use of persistent identifiers (e.g., ORCID) [2]
  • Recognizes diverse scholarly contributions and clear author attribution

This statement reflects our current practices and our ongoing efforts to further align journal policies with DORA’s principles.
